FSU is a member of the National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA)

FSU participated in the first-ever NCATA national championships in 2011 and claimed a national championship in a heat of the basket toss

Fairmont State has won six national championships in school history (going back to when the sport was known as "cheerleading" and "competitive cheer")

The Falcons won the 2010 NCA Division II All-Girl National Championship
