How To Follow The Falcons (2011-12)

So, you want to follow FSU athletics this year, but aren't sure how. Here is your complete guide on how to follow all Fighting Falcon athletic events in 2011-12.

1) FightingFalcons.com -- This is an easy one. Scores, stats, recaps will always live here as soon as we receive the information. Many home events also have photo galleries as well. Also, FightingFalcons.com will provide links to coverage from other schools during away events. The website is the most quickest, most reliable source of information.

FightingFalcons.com also hosts the GameCenter for many sports including football, volleyball, men's and women's basketball, baseball and softball. The GameCenter typically will host a webcast and live stats, and live chats for select events. GameCenter delivers comprehensive in-game coverage. The link never changes, so bookmark it: www.fightingfalcons.com/gamecenter.

2) Radio -- For this football season, all games, home and away, can be heard on our new partner 93.1 WFGM, as well as our longtime partner 920 AM WMMN. Jason Young and Jeremy Crawford will bring you all of the action all season long. For basketball, games can be heard locally on 920 AM WMMN.

3) UStream.tv -- Want to follow the game but you can't be near a radio or computer? You can listen and/or watch all games that are webcast on your phone! Download the UStream application from either the iTunes store or Android market, and then when the game is on, search for the channel "fightingfalcons" or "fighting-falcon-sports." The webcast will go straight to your phone.

4) Facebook -- It's not just for kids anymore! "Like" us on Facebook at facebook.com/fsufalcons. That way, news and updates will appear in your news feed, you can interact and post comments about all of the great things happening at FSU, and you can participate in an occasional contest. If you're reading this, you probably already like us, so go ahead and make it official and go "Like" us.

5) Twitter -- If you don't use Twitter, then you need to join us here in the 21st century! Just kidding, I was a late converter, but Twitter is where news is being delivered these days. For example, many people learned about the recent earthquake and about the death of Bin Laden from Twitter. Well, we'll be delivering the updates from almost every home event in 2011-12 via Twitter @fsufalcons. We post frequent updates, photos, links, behind-the-scenes tidbits -- much more frequently than Facebook -- to keep fans informed. We also use Twitter to link to stories about FSU student-athletes or alumni in various newspapers across the country -- items that fans are interested in, yet aren't quite worthy of a press release or re-run on the website. You'll like it, and soon you'll be using hashtags with ease.

Hopefully this helps you follow us here this year. If you have any questions or need some help, feel free to e-mail us at gofsufalcons@gmail.com.
