Fairmont State's Lady Falcons finished the regular season 26-14 overall and 22-6 in WVIAC softball, for a second place finish. FSC will be the #2 seed in this week's WVIAC Softball Tournament, May 1-3, in Vienna, W.Va. at Ohio Valley College. WV Wesleyan is the tournament's top-seed (41-8, 28-0 WVIAC).

The Lady Falcons will open tournament play against #15 Glenville State (1-30, 1-27 WVIAC) in a 2:00 p.m. game. 

The winner of the double-elimination tournament receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Great Lakes region tournament.2003 WVIAC Softball Tournament
