FAIRMONT, W.Va. -- Defending WVIAC champion WV Wesleyan defeated Fairmont State, 8-1, on Thursday night. Heidi Bastin was the lone Falcon to register a win defeating her opponent in a tiebreaker.

The Bobcats swept all three doubles matches to take a 3-0 lead. 

WVWC one No. 1 and No. 2 singles in straight sets, and then Bastin defeated Maisa Shigematsu 6-4, 2-6 (10-6) in No. 3 singles. Courtney Kisamore pushed her opponent to a tiebreaker, but lost 10-7 in the tiebreaker.
