GREENSBURG, Pa. -- Fairmont State's men's and women's cross country teams opened the 2010 season at the Seton Hill Invitational on Saturday,
The men's team was paced by Jobey Knaption's sixth-place finish. Knapton finished the 8k course in 29:17. Eric Hamilton finished 15th with a time of 30:34, followed by Jacob Lafferre in 22nd (31:31), Riley Freeman in 24th (32:22) and Earl Ambroza in 36th place (34:15). As a team the Falcons placed fifth.
The women's team was led by Sara Ray's 20th-place finish. Ray ran the 5k course in 23:06. She was followed by Shelly Work (37th, 25:17), Katie Elliot (46th, 27:25), Alana Coen (47th, 27:28) and Athina Brilliris (53rd, 31:43).
