Kristy Murphy (formerly Kristy Rausch) is in her third season as an assistant coach for the Fighting Falcons. She helped lead the Falcons to a 33-win season and an at-large berth in the NCAA Tournament in 2010.
Murphy was an outstanding student-athlete for the Falcons hauling in numerous awards. She was a two-time first team All-WVIAC pick, a two-time Academic All-America honoree and an all-region selection in 2008. She was awarded the Colebank Award for her overall contributions to Fairmont State as a player and student.
Murphy was married in the summer of 2010.
