Falcons Seventh At WVIAC Championships

DAVIS, W.Va. -- Elizabeth Frederick carded a 77 in the second round to help her tie for fifth place and lead Fairmont State to a seventh-place at the WVIAC Championships at Canaan Valley Resort.

Frederick had a two-day total of 162. Nicole Smith shot a two-day total of 175 to take 18th. She was followed by Danielle South (35th, 204) and Nicole Allison (43rd, 253).

Wheeling Jesuit won the team championship with a score of 659. The Cardinals were followed by Seton Hill (681), WV Wesleyan (683), Concord (687), Ohio Valley (694) and West Liberty (717). Fairmont State turned in a team score of 794 and finished ahead of Glenville State (941) and WV State (1039).

Concord's Marina Erice was medalist with a score of 151. WJU's Julie Hirauk was a stroke behind at 152, followed by OVU's Kayla Linger (157), WVWC's Krysten Badey (161). Frederick tied Erin Metzger of Wheeling Jesuit and Seton Hill's Morgan Miller for fifth with a score of 162.
