D&E Defeats FSU, 7-2

FAIRMONT, W.Va. -- Freshman Taylor Nichols won her singles match and partnered with Caitlin Crutchfield to win in doubles, but Davis & Elkins swept the rest of the matches in a 7-2 win over the Falcons on Wednesday afternoon at the FSU Tennis Courts.

Nichols and Crutchfield won at No. 2 doubles over Natela Portshietz and Becky Price, 8-4. Nichols then won at No. 2 singles in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3.

Fairmont State falls to 2-4 on the year and 1-3 in the WVIAC.
