Falcons Take Down Rams

FAIRMONT, W.Va. -- Fairmont State defeated Shepherd in conference action on Friday in Fairmont. FSU had a 2-1 advantage in doubles and a 4-2 advantage in singles action.

The Falcons improved to 3-4 overall and 2-3 in the conference with the victory.

The teams of Taylor Nichols/Caitlin Crutchfield and Brittany Shumate/Kari Sims picked up 8-3 victories over the Rams in doubles. Erin McKown, Nichols, Shumate and Sims also picked up victories in singles action for the Falcons.

FSU will return to action on Tuesday afternoon when they travel to WV Wesleyan, start time is slated for 3 p.m.
